Frequently Asked Questions
Questions and answers
Is this assessment treatment?
No. The assessor has been asked to provide an independent professional opinion for the party that requested the assessment. The assessment is not treatment and does not create an ongoing treating relationship.
Who receives my report?
The report is provided to the person or organization that requested the assessment, such as your lawyer or insurer. If you have questions about the report or its findings, those questions should generally be directed to the referring party.
Do I have to attend?
Whether you are required to attend depends on the circumstances of your claim or matter. If you are unsure, speak with your lawyer, insurer, employer or other person who arranged the assessment.
What should I bring?
Please bring photo identification, any glasses or hearing aids you normally use, a current list of your medications, and any forms or documents TruePoint has asked you to bring.
How long will the assessment take?
The length of the appointment depends on the type of assessment being completed. We will provide you with an expected appointment length when your assessment is scheduled.
What if I need an interpreter or accommodation?
Please let us know as early as possible if you require an interpreter, accessible facilities or another accommodation. Our team will work with you to make appropriate arrangements wherever possible.
What if I experience pain or discomfort during the assessment?
Let the assessor know. You may request a break at any time, and you should advise the assessor if any part of a physical examination is causing pain or discomfort.
